    Roydon Marina Village

Now we’re moving towards summer and hopefully further lifts in restrictions we thought it could be the perfect time to do a little overview of each of our lovely Marinas, their location and what to do when you’re in the area for some inspiration when you’re allowed to visit.

Firstly, we have Roydon Marina Village which is located in Harlow, Essex and just 30 minutes train ride from central London, but don’t let the location fool you! This luxury holiday oasis with moorings, hot tub lodges (just in case you fancy a little treat when you visit!) and The Boathouse Café is surrounded by the beautiful scenery in the picturesque Lee Valley Regional Park. On a secluded 32-acre lake in an award-winning green space you will discover an abundance of local wildlife, peaceful canalside walks and beautiful views - and you’re sure to see some stunning sunsets!

If you’d like a little break from cooking, The Boathouse Café Bar serves an excellent selection of food and drink. The specials board is host to our chef's latest creations, as well as plenty of our own takes on seasonal favourites that you’re sure to know and love. And with a view over the lake there couldn’t be a more idyllic setting – made all the more so with a view of your vessel while you dine of course!

A retreat from the hustle and bustle, Roydon Marina grants you the choice of cruising the Northbound scenic routes along the River Stort, or you could always explore the sights of London and its surroundings by taking the water to the South, it’s up to you.

If you have little ones aboard you will also be pleased to know that there is plenty to keep them entertained within walking distance nearby. The Rye-assic Adventure Park is always a hit and it’s right on our doorstep, with dinosaur-themed activities from bowling to mini golf, indoor and outdoor play areas and trampolines. For the older ones there is the Rye House Kart Raceway right next door, with high speed petrol and electric go-karting, plus crazy golf and laser combat.

Enjoy a more laid back trip out with a wander around Rye Meads Nature Reserve where if you’re lucky you might even spot a Kingfisher, maybe even finish with a bit of history Rye House Gatehouse.

Whatever you’re interested in we know that you’ll have a wonderful time exploring all Roydon Marina Village has to offer
